Ethicology is a human systems research program examining the evolution of human capability and the conditions under which that capability is exercised. It investigates how context, systems, and influence shape autonomy, agency, decision-making, and ethical responsibility across research, education, healthcare, institutional, informational, technological, and AI-mediated environments.

Drawing from behavioral science, institutional governance, and scholarship spanning research, information, and AI ethics, Ethicology develops integrative models for understanding how contextual conditions shape vulnerability, ethical decision-making, and human capability across evolving human systems.

Current Research

Conditional Vulnerability Ethics (CoVE) examines how vulnerability emerges through specific combinations of interacting contextual conditions rather than residing inherently within individuals.

Current research includes theoretical model development, historical case studies, and applied ethics focused on the conditions that shape autonomy, agency, and decision-making across research, institutions, AI, and everyday life.
